Accessible and Inclusive Yoga Teaching
Accessible and inclusive yoga teaching, grounded in lived experience and thoughtful practice.
Yoga doesn’t fail people. Teaching that assumes a default body does.
I teach accessible, inclusive yoga online, shaped by the belief that the practice should adapt to the person, not the other way round. My teaching centres exploration, choice and dignity, rather than performance.
This is for people who have felt quietly excluded in yoga spaces, and for yoga teachers who want to build practical accessibility skills. Not to learn another style, but to develop confidence in how they respond, adapt and teach.
Accessible Yoga Teaching And Mentoring
This work is shaped by professional experience, guest teaching, ongoing training and creative practice. Including poetry, which together inform how I teach and mentor.
I have been invited as a guest teacher on yoga training programmes specialising in accessible and chair-based yoga. This includes teaching with Accessible Yoga School led by Jivana Heyman, and contributing to accessible yoga trainings with Jessica Rabone.
My teaching is informed by ongoing study in accessibility, anatomy and inclusive practice including:
Chair Yoga – Lakshmi Voelker
Accessible Yoga – Jivana Heyman
Yoga For All – Dianne Bondy & Amber Karnes
Experiential Anatomy – Judith Lasater & Mary Richards
Yoga Deconstruct 2 Reconstruction, Yoga Philosophy – Alexandria Crow
Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Yoga Nidra writing courses – Jennie Wadsten & Melanie Cooper
